The Korea–America Association (Chairman: Young-Key Hwang) presented the 2nd Korea–America Young Leader Award to Ms. Duyeon Kim, Adjunct Senior Fellow of the Center for a New American Security, at Sejong Hotel Seoul on Friday, February 26, 2021.
Ms. Kim, who performs her duties in the Korea–America Association as Executive Councilor, Director, and Chairperson of the Next Generation Committee, delivered her award acceptance speech that she would bring further endeavor to make the future of Korea–America relations even brighter by encouraging younger generations to actively participate in the functions of the Korea–America Association.
Since 2002, the Korea–America Association has presented every year the Korea–America Friendship Award to a person who has made great contributions to developing Korea–America relations. The association launched in 2020 the Korea–America Young Leader Award and grants it to a young person under 45 whose potential is big enough to advance the Korea–America relationships. The 1st such award was presented last year to Senior Managing Attorney Nicholas Park of Denton Lee IP& Law Group
